TTI's professionals share their expertise with sponsors.
TTI's greatest strength is its people, many of whom are recognized national and international leaders in their fields. The TTI program, in addition to providing useful research results, is also instrumental in training and educating the workforce of the future.
TTI researchers contribute to the growth of the transportation profession by participating in, and leading, over 250 local, state, and national organizations. Approximately 100 TTI researchers publish papers and give presentations at the Transportation Research Board (TRB) annual meeting, with around 40 researchers serving on TRB committees. Since the inception of the National Cooperative Highway Research Program (NCHRP) over 40 years ago, TTI has successfully led over 70 NCHRP projects, more than any other participant in the program.
TTI researchers serve as objective transportation experts, providing an important resource to local, state, and national agencies and groups—and helping them to make informed policy decisions and solve challenging transportation problems.
