The Future of Freight Forum is a joint project of the Corpus Christi MPO and the Texas Department of Transportation. The Forum will initiate a public dialogue on the changing dynamics of the freight industry. Speakers will address such topics as the global economic slowdown; erratic fuel prices; expansion of the Panama Canal; linkage of Mexico ports with Texas ports; impact of LaQuinta and possible Robstown facility; rail improvements in Texas and Mexico; the proposed freight shuttle, etc. More information at http://www.corpuschristi-mpo.org/.

Please plan to register on-site at the Corpus Christi Holiday Inn - Emerald Beach. ONLY checks, money orders and credit cards will be accepted on-site; CASH WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.

On-site registration will be available at the Corpus Christi Holiday Inn - Emerald Beach during the forum.

Registration Fees

Participants – $75
Speakers – No Fee - however, speakers must register online

Payment Information
  • Check or money orders payable to TTI-FFF09 (U.S. currency drawn on a U.S. bank).
  • Visa, MasterCard, and Discover credit cards are accepted.
  • EM&P cannot invoice; therefore, payment of the conference registration fee must be received prior to admission to the conference.
  • NO PURCHASE ORDERS ACCEPTED.

Cancellations

Only cancellations received in writing by EM&P by 5:00 pm CST January 23, 2009 will be refunded, less a $25 handling fee. No refunds will be made after February 6, 2009.

Speaker Information

Speakers are required to register online no later than February 6, 2009. Speaker registration is complimentary.

Room rate per night: $85 single / $95 double

To receive special conference rates, individuals should call the hotel directly at 361-883-5731 and identify the group name as "FFF." Please confirm your room rate when you make your reservation and confirm this rate upon your arrival at the hotel. Please assist us in keeping conference costs down by meeting our room block requirements at this hotel. The discounted conference room rates will be available until the block fills or until Wednesday, January 28, 2009.

Conference Attire

Dress for the conference will be business casual.
