8th National Aviation System Planning Symposium

Building on the success of the last symposium held in Pacific Grove, California in May 2009, this symposium will examine recent trends and developments affecting aviation system planning and discuss future policy, funding, and research needs to strengthen the aviation system planning process. Attendees will have the opportunity to exchange ideas and information towards addressing critical systems pertaining to our nation’s aviation system.

This will be an important opportunity for aviation system planners, engineers, researchers, managers, and others interested in the future of the national aviation system.

Hotel Reservations

Accommodations have been arranged at the Hotel Galvez, located at 2024 Seawall Boulevard in Galveston, TX, with $101 nightly room rates. The room block is available May 19 to 21, 2012. There are a limited number of rooms available for our use, so please reserve your rooms early. Please refer to "8th National Aviation System Planning Symposium” when making your reservation.

Please make your reservations as soon as possible to ensure room availability.

To receive special conference rates:

  • Reservations can also be made by calling the Hotel Galvez directly at (409) 765-7721 or by calling Guest Reservations number (800) 996-3426 and identify the event as "8th National Aviation System Planning Symposium."

Please confirm your room rate when you make your reservation and confirm this rate upon your arrival at the hotel. Please assist us in keeping conference costs down by meeting our room block requirements at this hotel. All reservations for sleeping rooms must be received by May 4, 2012. Reservations received after this date will be accepted on a space available and rate available basis.

Any attendee not identifying his/her affiliation with the group and not requesting the conference rate prior to check-in cannot be extended the conference rate at a later date or during or after the meeting.

Registration Fees & Payment Information

Pre-registration is recommended and will help us in planning and preparing a better symposium. If you pre-register, your name tag will be ready when you arrive at the hotel.

  • Early Bird (until 5:00 p.m., May 4, 2012) – $425*
  • Advanced (until 5:00 p.m., May 14, 2012) – $525*
  • On-Site – $575*
  • Speakers/Moderators – $225*

*Registration fees include the following meals:

  • Breakfast on Monday and Tuesday
  • Lunch on Monday and Tuesday
  • Dinner on Monday evening (you can bring a guest to this meal for an additional $25)
  • Coffee Break Monday and Tuesday mornings
  • Snack Break on Monday and Tuesday afternoons

NOTE: Online registration will be available until 5:00 p.m. CST, May 14, 2012. After this date, please plan to register on-site at the Hotel Galvez.

You are encouraged to register online. Please make check or money orders (U.S. currency drawn on a U.S. bank) payable to TTI-NASP. Event Management & Planning (EM&P) also accepts Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express credit cards. If paying by check or money order, you may register online and then mail your payment to EM&P. EM&P cannot invoice; therefore, payment of the conference registration fee must be received prior to admission to the conference. NO PURCHASE ORDERS ACCEPTED.

Only cancellations received in writing by EM&P by 5:00 p.m. CST on April 23, 2012 will be refunded, less a $50 handling fee. No refunds will be issued after this date.

Special Event

An exciting dinner event has been planned for Monday night at the Lone Star Flight Museum, sponsored by Scholes International Airport at Galveston.
