TxDOT Small Business Briefings

TxDOT will conduct briefings around the state for small and minority-owned businesses providing contract opportunities and information on how to do business with TxDOT and with the State of Texas. The briefings will offer General Industry Sessions to include specific information on doing business in the construction, goods & services, information technology and professional engineering service industries. Breakout Sessions will cover small and minority-owned business certifications, resources for small business development, and business marketing for state contracts. Each briefing will also include a Networking Reception and a Contracting Opportunities Showcase with agencies on-site to answer questions.

Online registration deadlines are at 5:00 p.m. CST on the following days:

  • Austin - Monday, November 10, 2008
  • Laredo - Monday, February 9, 2009
  • Houston - Tuesday, March 17, 2009
  • Midland/Odessa - Monday, April 13, 2009

You may pay your registration fee by check, money order, or credit card. Please make checks or money orders payable to TTI-SBB08 and mail your payment to Event Management & Planning (EM&P). EM&P also accepts Visa, MasterCard, and Discover credit cards online or over the phone.

On-site Registration

On-site registration is available beginning at 8:30 a.m. on the first day of the event for a fee of $50 payable by check, money order or credit card (Visa, MasterCard, or Discover) only.
Cash will not be accepted on-site.

Refund Policy

Refunds are not available for this event. However, your registration fee is transferable to another participant if you are unable to attend.

Workshop Attire

Dress for the conference will be business/business casual.
