State Agencies Contract Opportunities Showcase
State contracting is a multi-billion dollar industry. There are several types of contracts available for all types of businesses. In addition to small spot purchases, agencies also procure several large contracts a year that require multiple contractors. Several state agencies will be on hand at this session to talk about upcoming contract opportunities and to discuss how small and minority businesses can participate.

These sessions are designed to provide in-depth industry information on how to become qualified to bid or propose on contracts, industry requirements to work on contracts, resources to assist with finding industry opportunities as well as information on how to market your business in a specific industry and with TxDOT.

Technical Assistance for Small Business Development
There are various federal, state and local programs that provide business development assistance and training to small and minority owned businesses. Several agencies and organizations will provide information on technical and business development programs that can develop and grow your business such as developing a business plan or a web-site as well as accounting, marketing and other business development programs, trainings and services.

Small Business Financial Resources
There are several alternatives and resources to meet the financial demands of being a small and minority owned business. Several organizations will discuss lending programs and other financial options to help your business.

Marketing Your Business to the State
This workshop will provide you with the information and resources to effectively market your business by providing procurement research data, industry resource information as well as strategies and tips to market your business effectively to the State.

Small Business Certifications
There are several federal, state and local certification programs. This session will provide information that will assist you in determining which certification is best for your business, will provide in-depth instructions on requirements and information you will need to become certified and provide one on one certification assistance from federal, state and local certification agencies.
