The objectives of the First International Conference on Scour of Foundations (ICSF-1) are:
Scour of foundations, erosion of soils, scour at bridges, dams, offshore platforms, underwater pipelines, prediction of scour depth including pier scour, abutment scour, contraction scour, general degradation and aggradation, meander migration, countermeasures selection and design, monitoring, scour in gravel, sand, silt, clay and rock, laboratory measurements of erosion properties, field studies, case histories, failures and successes, international guidelines and practices, numerical modeling, model tests, field inspection, data bases.
Online registration is no longer available for this conference, however, registration will be available on-site at the Hilton Hotel and Conference Center prior to the conference.
The registration fee will be $475.00 until October 4, 2002. After October 4 the registration fee will be assessed a $100 late fee. You may pay your registration fee by check, money order, or credit card.
If you are unable to attend the entire conference, day tickets can be purchased for $250 per day. After October 4, the day tickets will be assessed a $50 late fee. The day ticket includes participation in all events for the day selected.
Student registration is $100, with no late fee with proof of full-time student status.
Payment must be postmarked by October 4 in order to avoid the late fee. OCMS cannot invoice; therefore, payment of the conference registration fee must be received prior to admission to the conference.

Please make checks or money orders (U.S. currency drawn on a U.S. bank) payable to TTI-SCOUR and mail your payment to the Office of Conference Management Services (OCMS). OCMS also accepts Visa, MasterCard and Discover credit cards.
The single conference registration fee covers admission to all sessions, three continental breakfasts, three luncheons, six breaks, the evening receptions, and one copy of the proceedings.
Guest tickets are also available at $200 per person. The tickets include participation in all of the food functions. If you desire to attend the meetings, please register as a participant at the $475 rate.
Conference registration will be available on-site immediately prior to the conference. The $100 late fee will be in effect during that time.

Only cancellations received in writing by OCMS by 5:00 p.m. November 1, 2002, will be refunded, less a $75 handling fee. No refunds will be made after November 1.

The College Station Hilton and Conference Center is holding a block of rooms for conference participants at the nightly rate of $75 for single and double occupancy. We encourage everyone needing a room to call immediately since we anticipate the rooms will be booked quickly. Reservations should be made by October 28, 2002. All reservations must be guaranteed for the first night’s arrival by credit card, cash, check or purchase order with approved credit. The hotel will not hold any reservation unless secured by one of these methods. Please confirm your room rate when you make your reservation and confirm this rate upon your arrival at the hotel.

Please note: Any attendee not identifying his/her affiliation with the group and not requesting the conference rate prior to check-in cannot be extended the conference rate at a later date or during or after the meeting.
The College Station Hilton and Conference Center provides complimentary shuttle service to and from the College Station Easterwood Airport. A courtesy phone is provided at the airport from which you can contact the hotel and request the shuttle service.
The Hotel has self-parking available free of charge.
