Call for Nominations

At the Texas Aviation Conference held each spring, the Texas Department of Transportation's Aviation Division presents four customer service awards. Award nominations for the 2010 Texas Aviation Conference at the Marriott Resort in The Woodlands, Texas, are requested for the following categories:

• Most Improved General Aviation Airport
• General Aviation Airport of the Year
• General Aviation Airport Manager of the Year
• Reliever Airport of the Year or Reliever Airport Manager of the Year

Nominations will be accepted until February 15, 2010. Please go to Call for Nominations page for more information.

Registration Fees & Payment Information

Pre-registration is recommended and will help us in planning and preparing a better conference. If you pre-register, your name tag and program packet will be ready when you arrive at the hotel. The fee is $175 through March 5, 2010. A $50 late fee will be added to registrations received after March 5, 2010. An additional $75 fee will be added for all on-site registrations.

TxDOT employees are exempt from the registration fee, but must register in advance for the conference.

NOTE: Online registration will be available until 5:00 pm CST, March 26, 2010. After this date, please plan to register on-site at the The Woodlands Waterway Marriott.

You are encouraged to register online. Please make check or money orders (U.S. currency drawn on a U.S. bank) payable to TTI-Avtn2010. Event Management & Planning (EM&P) also accepts Visa, MasterCard, and Discover credit cards. If paying by check or money order, you may register online and then mail your payment to EM&P. EM&P cannot invoice; therefore, payment of the conference registration fee must be received prior to admission to the conference. NO PURCHASE ORDERS ACCEPTED.

The registration fee covers conference handouts, break refreshments, Wednesday and Thursday evening activities, including the awards banquet.

Cancellation

Only cancellations received in writing by EM&P by 5:00 p.m. CST on March 5, 2010 will be refunded, less $50 handling fee. No refunds will be issued after this date.

Special Activities

Golf Tournament

On Wednesday, April 7, 2010 there will be a shotgun start at 1:00 p.m., for our 13th Annual Golf Tournament at Panther Trail Golf Course in The Woodlands (see map for directions). All golfers must be registered to attend the conference. The fee to participate is $45.00 and you can pay online with your conference registration. Event Management & Planning (EM&P) will contact you at least two weeks before the conference.

Planes and Lanes Event

On Wednesday, April 7, 2010 the 3rd Annual Bowling Event, sponsored by Garver Engineers, will be held at Main Event Entertainment (see map for directions) from 12:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. The event will consist of two hours of bowling with lunch included. The fee is $10.00 and you can pay online with your conference registration.

Get-Acquainted Reception

A get acquainted reception is planned for Wednesday evening from 5:30 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. The reception will be in the Exhibit Area at The Woodlands Waterway Marriott hotel with Hors d'oeuvres and a cash bar.

Awards Banquet

Plan to join us on Thursday evening for the Awards Banquet. All registered participants are encouraged to attend. Guest tickets are also available for $35. Tickets can be purchased online when you register for the conference. There will be a reception prior to the banquet, sponsored by Texas Airport Council formerly TAMA and a social following the banquet, hosted by Rodriguez Engineering.

Complimentary off-site parking is available at the Town Center garage located on Six Pines Drive. The garage is connected to the Hotel by a climate controlled Skywalk Bridge.
