Car crashes are the #1 killer of youth in America, with an annual toll of almost 6,000 teenage fatalities, 400,000 teen injuries and a national economic cost of over $40 billion. The Teens in the Driver Seat – TDS FEST will showcase student leaders in bringing awareness about this problem to their peers, their families and their community. Come spend the afternoon with us and learn more about this epidemic and latest innovative solutions to combat it. Activities will be available for teens, teachers, school administrators, families, law enforcement, safety practitioners, industry and more. Join us as we celebrate the accomplishment of driving down the fatality rate in Texas while still remembering those who have lost their lives in this epidemic.

Highlighted at the Fest will be the rapidly-growing Teens in the Driver Seat (TDS) program in Texas, which is a peer-to-peer education and outreach program that has been active in over 370 high schools in Texas, over 25 junior high schools in Texas and over 20 high schools outside the state of Texas. The TDS program has been launched in Connecticut, California and Georgia. Come meet our Teen Advisory Board members along with award-winning TDS Teams and learn how our youth are taking a leadership role in helping stop the #1 killer of teens in the United States.

Discounted Registration

Register by March 2, 2011 to receive a TDS Goody Bag upon check-in at the TDS FEST and to enter your name in a drawing for a chance to win an iPod! You must be present to win.

Register online to receive discounted pricing on the entry fee and tickets for TDS FEST. Online registration will be available through 12:00 noon (CST) on Wednesday, March 2, 2011. After 12:00 noon on March 2, please plan to the full price for the entry fee and tickets when you arrive at the event. Online advance registration will not be available after March 2. Payment in full is required in advance—it must be received by 5:00 pm, Thursday, March 4, 2011. If payment is not received in advance, the regular (non-discounted) pricing will be due on-site on March 5, even if you registered online.

Student/Youth Rate Entry Fee

  • $2 – Discounted entry fee (thru 12:00 noon (CST) March 2, 2011)
  • $5 – Regular entry fee (on-site fee)

Adult Rate Entry Fee

  • $4 – Discounted entry fee (thru 12:00 noon (CST) March 2, 2011)

Note – Children ages 3 and younger can attend the TDS FEST at no charge. No entry fee will be required for this age group.

Tickets for Booths

  • $4 – Per sheet [10 tickets per sheet] (thru 12:00 noon (CST) March 2, 2011)
  • $5 – Per sheet [10 tickets per sheet] (on-site fee)

Note – Most booths will require 1-3 tickets to buy an item or participate in an activity. Additional sheets of tickets can be purchased on-site for $5 per sheet. Individual tickets are not available for purchase.

Event Management & Planning (EM&P) cannot invoice; therefore, payment of the entry fee is required (in advance for discounted pricing or at the door for regular pricing) for admission. For payment processing purposes, the vendor identification number for TTI EM&P is 37277277275000. The federal identification number is 74-2270624.

Please make checks or money orders (U.S. currency drawn on a U.S. bank) payable to TTI-TDS11. Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express credit cards are also accepted.

Note – all entry fee/tickets purchased online will be available for pickup under your name (as entered on the online registration form) on Saturday, March 5. Individual registrations are not required for every person in your group, as long as they are indicated on your registration form. If additional entry fee/tickets are needed on March 5, they may be purchased that day for the on-site price. If you have already registered and paid online and would like to add additional entry fee/tickets online at the discounted price before March 2, 2010 please call toll free at (888) 550-5577 to add to your existing order. Please do not make additional purchases online under the same name/contact information.

Cancellation/Refunds

If you need to cancel your registration, please contact EM&P by 5:00 p.m. CST on Friday, March 4, 2011. No refunds will be made. However, you may substitute someone in your place if you are unable to attend.

Complimentary parking is available at the Creekview High School campus. Please plan to park in the high school parking lot. Illegal parking on the city streets could be subject to tickets and towing.
