Please join U.S. Congressman Michael C. Burgess, M.D., in conjunction with Texas Transportation Commission Chair Deirdre Delisi, as they host the Sixth Annual 26th Congressional District/TxDOT Transportation Summit on Friday, October 3, 2008 at the Texas Motor Speedway.

The summit will include informative presentations and panel discussions by federal, state and local officials regarding the upcoming 2009 Federal Highway Reauthorization Bill with a focus on transportation issues facing North Texas.

Unprecedented population and employment growth in North Texas has increased traffic, led to congestion, and strained existing transportation capacity. To complicate matters, record gas prices are affecting the pool of money available to build, maintain, and improve roads, bridges, and transit. It is essential that North Texas' voice be heard in Washington and Austin concerning these issues to ensure we can keep this region and its economy moving.

Add your voice to other transportation leaders as we explore opportunities to provide better public policies and increased funding to address the pressing transportation needs of our region.

Conference Attire

Dress for the conference will be business casual.

$30 – On-site Registration (By check ONLY, no credit cards can be accepted on-site.)

Online registration is available until 5:00 p.m. on Friday, September 26, 2008. After this date, please plan to register on-site October 3, 2008 at 8:30 a.m. The registration desk will be located in the entryway to the Texas Grand Ballroom on the 9th floor. The summit will begin at 9:00 a.m.

You may pay your registration fee by check, money order, or credit card. Please make checks or money orders payable to TTI-TS08 and mail your payment to Event Management & Planning (EM&P). EM&P also accepts Visa, MasterCard, and Discover credit cards.

EM&P cannot invoice; therefore, your registration fee payment must be received prior to the 26th Congressional District/TxDOT Transportation Summit.

Cancellations/Refunds

If you would like to cancel your registration please contact EM&P. At any time, if the registered participant cannot attend this conference, someone else may attend in his/her place.

No refunds will be made.
