Please join U.S. Congressman Michael C. Burgess, M.D. and TxDOT Commissioner William Meadows as they host the Seventh Annual 26th Congressional District/TxDOT Transportation Summit on Monday, November 30, 2009 at the Texas Motor Speedway, with keynote speaker, The Honorable Ray LaHood, U.S. Secretary of Transportation.

The Summit will include informative presentations and panel discussions by federal, state and local officials regarding the Federal Highway Reauthorization Bill. Special focus will be given to the transportation issues affecting North Texas, including timely information pertaining to stimulus funding and its impact on the movement of state and regional projects.

Unprecedented population and employment growth in North Texas has increased traffic, leading to congestion and straining existing transportation capacity. Further complications from record gas prices and efforts to increase vehicle gas mileage have affected the pool of money available to build, maintain and improve North Texas roads, bridges and transit. It is essential that North Texas' voice be heard in Washington and Austin concerning these issues to ensure we can keep this region and our economy moving.

Add your voice to other transportation leaders as we explore opportunities to provide better public policies and increased funding to address the pressing transportation needs of our region.

Participant Registration Fee

$30 – Early Registration (until 5:00 p.m. on Monday, November 23, 2009)
$35 – On-site Registration (By check ONLY, no credit cards can be accepted on-site.)

Online Registration

Online registration is available until 5:00 p.m. on Monday, November 23, 2009. After this date, please plan to register on-site November 30, 2009 at 8:30 a.m. The registration desk will be located in the entryway to the Texas Grand Ballroom on the 9th floor. The summit will begin at 9:00 a.m.

You may pay your registration fee by check, money order, or credit card. Please make checks or money orders payable to TTI-TS09 and mail your payment to Event Management & Planning (EM&P). EM&P also accepts Visa, MasterCard, and Discover credit cards.

EM&P cannot invoice; therefore, your registration fee payment must be received prior to the 26th Congressional District/TxDOT Transportation Summit.

Cancellations/Refunds

If you would like to cancel your registration please contact EM&P. At any time, if the registered participant cannot attend this conference, someone else may attend in his/her place.

No refunds will be made.

Free parking is available at the Texas Motor Speedway.
