Bio/Expertise Highlights: As Director of the IRO, I have represented TxDOT on several bi-national committees that focus on transportation planning at the U.S./Mexico Border. These include the U.S./Mexico Joint Working Committee, U.S./Mexico Bi-National Bridges and Borders Crossing Group, and the Border Governors Conference Border Crossings Worktable. Additionally, I have coordinated various activities with numerous groups that focus on the U.S./Mexico Border. The IRO takes the lead for TxDOT in coordinating border transportation issues.

Bio/Expertise Highlights: I am a senior research specialist with the Research Section of the TxDOT Government and Public Affairs Division. I will be relating information from a study conducted by Cambridge Systematics for TxDOT on the Panama Canal expansion's effects on Texas ports and highways.

Presentation Summary: An overview of demographic trends and their implications for transportation planning in Texas.
Bio/Expertise Highlights: Mike Cline is a demographer at the Institute for Demographic and Socioeconomic Research at the University of Texas at San Antonio. Mr. Cline has over fifteen years of experience providing demographic analyses for a variety of governmental agencies, economic development groups and businesses. Mr. Cline coordinates a project for TxDOT to understand how future changes in the demographic structure of Texas may impact transportation planning. The Institute and its sister agency, the Texas State Data Center, produce the official population estimates and projections for Texas places and counties. A native of Snyder, Mike Cline holds a M.A. in Geography from Kansas State University and a B.A. in Geography from Texas Tech University.

Presentation Summary: The presentation will provide information about the types of traffic projections available from TPP's Traffic Analysis Section.
Bio/Expertise Highlights: 10 years experience in traffic analysis and transportation planning with TxDOT. Served as transportation analysis branch manager for 6 of these years with responsibility for producing transportation analysis for 25 Districts, for the development of 22 travel demand models and providing support for air quality conformity.

Bio/Expertise Highlights: Since 1998, have served as the Disrict Engineer for TxDOT addressing and coordinating a wide range of transportation planning matters for an eight-county area of central Texas. This includes transportation funding, prioritizing needs and providing guidance to two Metropolitan Planning Organizations for the Waco and Killeen/Temple Urban Areas.
