Bio/Expertise Highlights: Laura Johannsen has 14 years of experience as a management trainer in state government. She has been the lead worker for the Management and Staff Development team within Training and Quality Development since 2005. Prior to going to work for the state Laura worked as a consultant to various organizations, including the City of Austin, on managing organization change.

Developed embedded curricululum now used by department on this topic in Practical Supervison course required of all TxDOT supervisors, managers and lead workers.

Bio/Expertise Highlights: The speaker has been an attorney for almost 40 years. During that time, he has been an ethics advisor for government agencies at every level—local, state, and federal. For 8 years, prior to his retirement, the speaker was the General Counsel of the Texas Department of Transportation. During that time, he advised both members of the Commission and the Administration on matters related to ethics and conflicts of interest.
