Bio/Expertise Highlights: I have been involved in pavement structural design and evaluation since joining TxDOT in July 1995, and pavement premature failure forensic investigations since 1997. I have first hand experience in operating three of the most common tools used in evaluating pavement structural soundness, as well as in interpreting survey data using various software. I serve as one of the three primary Construction Division contacts for rendering flexible pavement evaluation assistance to the Districts.

Presentation Summary: Present the who, how, what, when and why for the development of the new Four Year Pavement Maintence Plan.
Bio/Expertise Highlights: Larry Tegtmeyer is originally from Iowa where he graduated from Iowa State in 1984 with a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering. He has worked in the Waco District and Dallas District before coming to the Wichita Falls District. His most notable accomplishment is that he was responsible for overseeing the construction of the Dallas High Five Interchange at I-635 and US 75. He now is the district engineer for the 9 county Wichita Falls District. As district engineer he oversees the planning, design, construction, operation, and maintenance throughout the North Texas region. Motorists travel nearly 6.5 million miles per day on the 6300 miles of roadway in the district.

He is married to Kathy. They have one college age daughter, and two young boys.
