| Bio/Expertise Highlights: | Dr. Susan Chrysler is a Senior Research Scientist in the Center for Transportation Safety and the Manager of the Human Factors Program. Her areas of expertise include human factors, driver behavior, older driver issues, visual attention, traffic control devices, and photometry. Sue has a Ph.D. in Experimental Psychology from the University of Minnesota. Since joining TTI in 2001, Dr. Chrysler has led projects on pavement marking and sign design, comprehension, and visibility. |

| Bio/Expertise Highlights: | Brian D. Burk is responsible for developing and implementing an Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) in the Austin District. This responsibility includes meeting with local officials to develop plans, specifications, and estimate (PS&E) for ITS projects. Mr. Burk is also responsible for the planning, design, construction support, maintenance, and operations of ITS projects implemented. Mr. Burk graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 1988 with a degree in architectural engineering. Mr. Burk began employment with the Department in the summer of 1983 as a rodman with the Austin District Travis County Resident Engineer¿s Construction Office survey party. Mr. Burk transferred to the Austin District Special Design Office upon graduation in 1988. Mr. Burk transferred to the Austin District Transportation Operations Office in 1990. Mr. Burk completed the PS&E for the Austin District's first comprehensive freeway corridor traffic management system along a portion of US 183 for contract letting in November 1997. |
