Presentation Summary: This presentation introduces the distortion-induced fatigue problem observed in the Dallas I-45 Bridge, and the repair strategies and implementation plans determined for the upcoming bridge retrofit.
Bio/Expertise Highlights: I earned my doctoral degree in 2003 from the University of Kansas for conducting steel bridge fatigue repair studies for the Kansas Department of Transportation. Since joining TxDOT Bridge Division in 2003, I have been working as a bridge design engineer, and have been involved in the repair study of the Dallas I-45 Bridge for the last three years.
