The 2009 Texas Transit Conference has a new format this year. Conference Sessions include:

  • A general session with Legislative Updates and Transit Information
  • Breakout sessions with 9 different professional development topics. See the agenda for a list of topics
  • A Mini-Expo with vendors from across the US and Canada
  • Transit Day at the Capitol
  • Mardi Gras Celebration with a Legislator and Staff Reception
  • Annual TTA Awards presentation

Conference Attire

Dress for the conference will be business casual.

Registration Information

You are encouraged to register online for this event.

Online registration will be available until 5:00 pm CST, Friday, February 13, 2009. After this date, please plan to register on-site at the Radisson Austin North or contact the TTA office at (512) 478-8883. A $50 late fee will incur on all member & non-member registrations received after Friday, February 6, 2009. (The late fee does not apply to Expo Only & Awards Breakfast registrations.)

Onsite Registration/Information Desk

On-site registration will be available at the Radisson Austin North during the following times:

Sunday February 22, 5:00pm to 7:00 pm.
Monday February 23, 7:00 am to 5:00 pm.

(Includes full conference registration for one person.)

(This breakfast is included in the fee for Full Participant & Vendor registration fees.)

Late Fees

A $50 late fee will be assessed to all member & non-member registration fees received after February 6, 2009. (The late fee does not apply to Expo Only & Awards Breakfast registrations.) Payments must be postmarked by February 6, 2009 to avoid the late fee.

Payment Information

Please make check or money orders (U.S. currency drawn on a U.S. bank) payable to TTI-TTA09. Event Management & Planning (EM&P) also accepts Visa, MasterCard, and Discover credit cards. If paying by check or money order, you may register online and then mail your payment to EM&P. EM&P cannot invoice; therefore, payment of the conference registration fee must be received prior to admission to the conference. NO PURCHASE ORDERS ACCEPTED.

For payment processing purposes, the vendor identification number for TTI-EM&P is 37277277275000. The federal identification number is 74-2270624.

Cancellations

Only cancellations received in writing by EM&P by 5:00 pm CST February 6, 2009 will be refunded, less a $50 handling fee. No refunds will be made after February 6, 2009.

Speaker Information

We extend our appreciation for your acceptance to speak at the 2009 Texas Transit Conference. Speakers are responsible for producing their own PowerPoint presentations and for providing their own laptop to be used during the presentation. An LCD projector will be provided.

Speakers are required to register according to the registration rate guidelines no later than February 6, 2009.

Hotel Reservations

Accommodations have been arranged at the Radisson Austin North. For details about the Hotel, please visit their web site.

The Radisson Austin North is near Highland Mall in North Austin, North West of the I-35 / 290 interchange.

Date of room block: February 22-25, 2009
Room rate per night: $85 single (or current State Rate) / $95 double.

To receive special conference rates, individuals should call the hotel directly at (512) 451-5757 or (800) 333-3333 and identify the group name as "Texas Transit Association." Please confirm your room rate when you make your reservation and confirm this rate upon your arrival at the hotel. Please assist us in keeping conference costs down by meeting our room block requirements at this hotel. The discounted conference room rates will be available until the block fills or until Friday, February 6, 2009.

Parking

The Radisson Austin North offers plenty of free parking.

Transportation

You will be responsible for your own transportation to the conference.

    The Radisson Austin North is located across the street from the Austin Greyhound Bus Terminal.
