3rd Annual Best Practices in Building University/City Relations Conference

Program & Roundtable Proposals

The "Best Practices in Building University/City Relations" conference is a four-day conference that will be held at Reed Arena on the campus of Texas A&M University, in College Station, Texas.

A combination of presentations, roundtable discussions, and group dialogues will center around the following goals:

  • Best Practices in Neighborhood Issues
  • Best Practices in Campus-Community Relations
  • Best Practices in Safety/Security Concerns both On and Off Campus
  • Best Practices in Campus-Community Transit Systems
  • Visioning/Branding of the Community to enhance Tourism and Town/Gown Marketing
  • Economic Development in Town/Gown Partnerships
  • City and University Planning
  • Civic Engagement and Community Service

We hope that you will serve as a presenter and contribute to the quality of diverse programs offered at this year's conference.

To submit your proposal, you may either use the online Program & Roundtable Proposal Submission form or print out the submission form, complete it, and mail it to:

Proposal Deadline

Program proposals are due by March 15, 2008. Presenters will be notified of selection results by April 1, 2008. If you have any questions or need additional information, please email us at: university-cityrelations@tamu.edu.

Presenters will receive a $100 discount off of registration fees.
