TTI Council Member: T. Oscar Trevino, Jr.

T. Oscar Trevino, Jr., P.E. a native of San Antonio, graduated from Texas A&M University in 1978 with a Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering. He is president and part owner of J .L. Steel, L. P., a heavy-highway contractor. Trevino is in his third term as Mayor of North Richland Hills and has served on the North Richland Hills City Council since 1999.

He serves as chair of the Regional Transportation Council and is past chair of the Tarrant Regional Transportation Coalition (TRTC) and a member of the TRTC Executive Committee. Trevino is vice chair of the National League of Cities Transportation Infrastructure and Services Steering Committee and is a steering committee member of the Partners in Mobility of the North Central Texas Council of Governments. He is also a member of the TEX-21 Committee, Coalition for Better Transportation and Regional Transit Initiative Committee.

Trevino is on the board of directors for both the Northeast Tarrant County Chamber of Commerce and the Fort Worth Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. He is involved with young people, serving on the Camp Coca-Cola Texas Board of Directors and as Vice President of the Birdville ISD Foundation of Educational Excellence. Trevino is a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seaton Catholic Church and a fourth degree Knight of Columbus.

His past board appointments include: Public Transportation Advisory Board; Associated General Contractors of Texas; Texas Chapter of the American Concrete Paving Association; Executive Committee of Texas Good Roads and Transportation; and President of the Executive Board of the North Central Texas Council of Governments (NCTCOG). Trevino also has received the Partnership Award from the Greater Fort Worth Builders Association.
