TTI Council Member, Timothy D. Ward
Timothy D. Ward is president of Alliance Air Services, an aviation management and service company of Hillwood Development Corporation. Alliance Air Services manages Alliance Airport for the City of Fort Worth. In addition, Mr. Ward is president of Alliance Aviation Services, a full-service fixed base operation at Alliance Airport. Mr. Ward also provides airport consulting services both domestically and abroad.
Prior to joining Alliance, Mr. Ward was the director of aviation for the City of Austin, Texas for four years. In that capacity, he was responsible for the operation, maintenance, planning and development of municipal airport facilities. This position included a major expansion of the existing airport, and the planning and development of a $700 million new airport.
Mr. Ward was also the director of airports for the Wayne County Department of Airports in Detroit, Michigan with responsibility for Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport and Willow Run Airport. His experience in Wayne County government covered a period of 15 years, during which time he served in a variety of positions in airport operations before becoming director.
Mr. Ward is a member of the American Association of Airport Executives and was previously involved with Airports Council International, serving as Associate Chairman in 1991-1992. He is the current vice chairman of an Advisory Board to ExxonMobil Corporation on matters relating to aviation fuel dealers. He was the 1988 recipient of the Jay Hollingsworth Speas Award, co-sponsored by the American Association of Airport Executives and the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics. Mr. Ward serves on the Board of the North Texas Commission.
Mr. Ward received a bachelor of business administration degree in management from Eastern Michigan University.
