Pecos
The Pecos Research & Testing Center (RTC) is the ideal location for a broad range of academic and applied research testing. As an academic-industry collaboration among the Texas A&M Transportation Institute, Applied Research Associates, and the Pecos Economic Development Corporation, RTC is a 5,800-acre complex near Pecos, Texas.
The city of Pecos is located on the Pecos River at the northern border of the Chihuahua Desert. It is 208 miles east of El Paso, 392 miles west of Fort Worth on I-20, and about 80 miles from the Midland-Odessa International airport. The dry, seasonable climate of Pecos enables year-round research and testing.
