  1. Establishment of the Environmental and Emissions Research Facility
  2. The Truck Stop Electrification Project grant was the largest ever awarded by the EPA’s Office of Transportation and Air Quality — $3 million
  3. National-Level Project on Sustainability under the National Cooperative Highway Research Program — $500,000
    A Guidebook for Sustainability Performance Measurement for Transportation Agencies
  4. Performed research that quantified drayage truck activity and emissions in the US-Mexico border regions
  5. Projects on Landfill Gas to Energy Applications for Transportation — both in Texas (sponsored by the State Energy Conservation Office) and in India (sponsored by EPA, and resulted in an ongoing project on landfill gas modeling for India)
  6. Developed emissions rates for high speeds that were used to expand MOBILE6 emissions rates to beyond 65 mph
  7. Developed and applied a methodology for the in-use testing of non-road vehicles and equipment under the RMC 5955 Project
