TTI’s Public Affairs staff members support the Institute by coordinating media relations activity and producing communications materials for TTI employees. The staff also assists Texas Department of Transportation districts and divisions in a wide array of public outreach initiatives.

Members of the Public Affairs staff represent a wide range of disciplines, including:

• marketing,
• news gathering and production,
• public relations,
• web-based communications and training, and
• public service.

As the audiences being served by TTI and its sponsors become more diverse and transportation issues become more complex, the need for effective communication with those audiences becomes more urgent. TTI’s Public Affairs staff is uniquely qualified to shape messages, and develop strategy and produce tools to help transportation agencies communicate more effectively with the public.
