The Safe Communities concept is a process in which community stakeholders collaborate to identify and solve their own community traffic problems through a coordinated effort. Coalitions are ideally made up of representatives of a variety of areas including medical, law enforcement, governmental, business, and other traffic safety advocates of the community. CTS provides technical assistance in establishing and serving as a resource for Safe Communities coalitions in Texas.
