Evaluating campaign efforts to deter DWI

TTI conducted driver awareness surveys in five driver licenses offices immediately before and after the 2009 Drink, Drive, Go to Jail campaign. The five stations were: Austin, Dallas, Fort Worth, Houston, and San Antonio. A minimum target sample of 75 respondents was achieved at each site. The questions were modeled after similar surveys that have recently been conducted in other states to measure awareness of anti-drinking and driving campaigns. Findings help to ensure that funding for DWI countermeasures are spent in the most effective way possible.
