Strengthening school bus driver training/recertification

School buses provide the safest of all forms of transportation. To maintain that status, effective training is essential for the more than 22,500 school bus drivers in Texas. This project
involved the review, revision, and production of master copies of classroom print and electronic support materials for the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) Course Guide for School Bus Driver Training, Driver Resource Manual and State of Texas School Bus Driver’s Recertification Course. The updated course materials, last updated more than a decade ago, have been well received by DPS officials and training participants alike.
