Description
The idea of high-speed rail in our nation, long a staple of passenger travel in Japan and Europe, is starting to quickly gain momentum. The Texas Transportation Institute’s Rail Research Group performs research to help determine the financial and technological feasibility of high-speed rail systems in Texas.
The Rail Research Group acts as a resource agency for the Texas High Speed Rail and Transportation Corporation, which has long proposed a high-speed rail plan called the Texas T-Bone Corridor. The proposal consists of 440 miles of track connecting San Antonio to Dallas and intersected with a route from Houston to Temple.
