The TEC responds to specific task orders issued by the USDOT on research projects.
The Center also conducts research projects that benefit the USDOT Office of Transportation Policy and advance the use of economic methods in important transportation policy decisions. Research expertise includes:
- the impact of climate change on transportation infrastructure and related funding;
- equity impacts of congestion pricing and approaches to mitigate negative impacts; and
- financing options for rural transportation needs.
