Program researchers work with the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) to provide training and assistance to Texas Metropolitan Planning Organizations (MPOs) in the development of population, household, income, and employment data used as inputs to travel demand models. Additionally, researchers provide training via group workshops or on an individual basis in an effort to assist MPO staff in understanding specific demographic trends and data sources, and to provide methods for developing small geographic area demographic data elements.
