For more than 50 years, the Texas Transportation Institute has been leading research efforts to address major issues facing transportation in Texas and the nation. TTI's cooperative relationship with the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) combined with its status as a member of the Texas A&M University System, has led to the institute's research, education, and technology transfer focus.
The mission of TTI is to solve transportation problems through research, to transfer technology, and to develop diverse human resources to meet the transportation challenges of tomorrow.
