Short Biography
Susie Catalina serves as library specialist on the Library and Information Services team of TTI Communications. She provides customer service for TTI researchers, transportation professionals, library personnel, and the general public. She maintains TTI's physical library holdings and electronic library catalog. Ms. Catalina has been a part of the library team since 2002, working closely with Research Librarian Hong Yu to provide research support for TTI researchers.Ms. Catalina's primary area of expertise is locating and obtaining reports following literature searches. She is responsible for cataloging reports and entering data into the publications database as well as maintaining the mailing list for the TTI's Texas Transportation Researcher. She also maintains the electronic journal table of contents notifications and the monthly Check It Out notice listing newly acquired materials.
Ms. Catalina has worked within the Texas A&M University System for over 14 years, conducting seminars and providing training materials for various departments. Before coming to TTI, she worked for the Texas Engineering Extension Service, where she organized seminars for the Technology and Economic Development Division. Ms. Catalina worked for over three years at the Texas Workers' Compensation Commission (Medical Review Division, Information Services) where she conducted seminars for medical and insurance providers of Texas as part of her responsibilities. Prior to her work as a state employee she gained inventory, management, supervisory, and customer service skills as manager of a retail clothing store.
