Short Biography
As a Senior Systems Analyst at the Texas A&M Transportation Institute (TTI), Mr. Vickich has over 20 years of experience developing transportation technology solutions. While at TTI, his work has involved him in the design and implementation of Traffic Management System (TMC) technology and software responsible for running large scale Advanced Traveler Information Systems (ATIS) and Advanced Transportation Management Systems (ATMS) across multiple states, projects, and sponsors.
Mr. Vickich has a diverse range of skills and has been involved in every aspect of transportation operations and technology implementation projects including conceptualization and requirements gathering, planning, software development, implementation, and technology maintenance. He has notable experience in transportation operations, intelligent transportation systems (ITS), traveler information, transportation performance measurement, databases and “big data”, networking, software development, and data visualization. The software and technology solutions developed by Mr. Vickich have been implemented in traffic management centers and roadside detection systems around the world enabling transportation operators the ability to effectively measure mobility on their roadways and giving travelers the information they need to save time, money, and fuel.
