Short Biography

Ms. Menges is an Associate Research Specialist at the Texas A&M Transportation Institute. She has been associated with the Institute for over twenty years. Ms. Menges has contributed to the conduct, analysis and/or reporting of over 1000 full-scale crash tests. She has been Principal Investigator at TTI for many compliance crash test projects. In addition, she was instrumental in developing data collection methodologies for analyzing and reporting for the Central/Western Field Test and Evaluation Center. Many states across the U.S., including Puerto Rico, bring their ASTM skid trailers and/or mu-meters to the Central/Western Center at TTI for evaluation, calibration, and correlation.

In addition to her duties performed in the TTI Engineering Factors Program, Ms. Menges performs many geographical surveys across the nation for the TTI Human Factors Program. These surveys monitor, although not limited to, seat belt usage, child restraint, and motorcycle and bicycle helmet usage rates.

Ms. Menges has authored and/or coauthored many reports in the highway safety area of engineering. Many of her reports have been accepted by the National Research Council, Transportation Research Board for national publication.
