Short Biography
Dr. C.E. Buth is a Senior Research Fellow and Assistant Agency Director with Texas A&M Transportation Institute and has twenty five years experience teaching Civil Engineering with Texas A&M University. He is also a Regents Fellow and has thirty five years of experience in design, testing, and evaluation of bridge railings, guardrails, transitions, impact attenuators, sign supports, and other highway safety features. Dr. Buth served as principal investigator of many research studies for Federal Highway Administration, National Cooperative Highway Research Program, Texas Department of Transportation, other State Transportation agencies, and private industries. He served as a consultant for development of the first edition of AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design Specifications. He is author or co-author of thirty technical journal papers and over 90 significant technical reports.Education
