Short Biography
Vicky Nelson joined TTI as a graphic designer in 2005. She has over eight years experience in marketing and communications, including four years with the Texas Engineering Experiment Station Communications Division. She has also worked in the production and traffic departments at an advertising agency in Houston, Texas.Ms. Nelson specializes in integrated marketing communications. She has worked on an array of print and web projects for a variety of topics and clients, from technical engineering publications to marketing recruitment materials. She is responsible for all aspects of the creative process, including the art direction of photo shoots and the development and execution of marketing concepts. Her work for TTI includes the integrated Pecos Research and Testing Center campaign as well as a brochure, calendar, and booth for the Drive Clean Across Texas Campaign. She is responsible for the Texas A&M Office of Admissions and Records recruiting materials, for which Texas A&M University distributes in excess of 250,000 brochures and collateral materials to potential students and parents statewide and nationwide.
Ms. Nelson graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing. She has won various awards of Excellence (silver) and Brazos Bravo (gold) from the International Association of Business Communicators. She has received several American Graphic Design Awards from Graphic Design USA Magazine. Recent accomplishments include several Awards of Excellence from the University and College Designers Association for her work with Texas A&M University Marketing and Communications.
