Short Biography

Michael S. Brackin is an Associate Transportation Researcher for Texas A&M Transportation Institute's Crashworthy Structures Program. His service to TTI began in 2007. During his tenure with TTI, Mr. Brackin received his Master of Science and Bachelors from Texas A&M University in 2010 and 2008, respectively. His scope of work included the design and analysis of roadside safety systems and structures through the use of finite element analysis under TTI's Center for Computational Mechanics.

He has been involved in full-scale crash testing and design of numerous highway safety systems. In addition, Mr. Brackin has worked on anti-ram and anti-terrorist perimeter barriers for the U.S. Department of State, Department of Homeland Security, Sandia National Labs, and others.
