Short Biography

Ms. Parker has 31 years of experience in the communications, marketing and public relations fields and has worked at the Texas A&M Transportation Institute (TTI) since 2007. She graduated Cum Laude from Texas A&M University in 1980 with a B.A. in English and a minor in Journalism.

A member of the TTI Leadership Team, Ms. Parker provides leadership for TTI's strategic marketing initiatives; oversees the TTI Communications Office; develops and implements programmatic and agency-wide initiatives; and fosters successful relationships with the TTI Advisory Council, A&M System offices and institutions, external partners and research sponsors.

Ms. Parker serves on the Texas A&M University Brand Council and is TTI's Strategic Plan and Risk Management Plan Coordinator. She also serves as TT''s Policy Compliance Officer, writing and editing internal documents such as TTI rules, procedures, reports, guidelines and correspondence.

A staff member of The Texas A&M University System since 1987, Ms. Parker previously served in leadership positions for the Texas A&M University System, The Texas A&M University Health Science Center and the Department of Agricultural Communications at Texas A&M University. Her prior experience includes positions in the private sector.

Ms. Parker is a Friend of the Transportation Research Board's Committee on Public Involvement in Transportation. She is a 1999 graduate of Leadership Texas and a past president of the Brazos Valley Chapter of the International Association of Business Communicators.
