Short Biography
Charles J. Glover graduated with a Ph.D. in chemical engineering in 1975 from Rice University after receiving a B.S. degree from the University of Virginia in 1968 and two years service in the U.S. Army. His graduate work emphasized transport phenomena and rheology. From 1974 to 1977 he was a Research Engineer with Exxon Production Research involved in chemical methods of enhanced oil recovery. At Texas A&M his research has focussed on multicomponent solution thermodynamics and diffusion in macromolecularsystems as well as physio-chemical properties of asphaltic materials. In academic research sponsored by the National Science Foundation, Dr. Glover has led the development of a new engineering science sequence, co-authoring two of the four textbooks. These courses take advantage of the common conservation laws framework for all engineering disciplines so as to provide a background for strong interdisciplinary teamwork and creativity.Education
