Travel Demand Model Preparation and Application Technical Assistance for FY06 & FY07

Project Description

The Transportation Planning and Programming Division (TPP) of the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) is responsible for the travel forecasting for most of the urbanized areas in Texas. The Texas Transportation Institute and TxDOT have worked together in the area of travel modeling for many years. Under this interagency agreement the Travel Forecasting Program will continue to provide technical assistance and support in the development and application of travel forecasting models. Also under this agreement, TPP and TTI will provide training and technical assistance for travel model applications to metropolitan planning organizations in Texas and to TxDOT district offices. Technical support for travel model enhancements and software support are also provided under this agreement.
