Evaluation Service Effectiveness and Efficiency for Student Transportation: Spotsylvania County Public School Division, Virginia

Project Description

The Department of Education of the Commonwealth of Virginia contracted with Gibson Consulting and the Texas Transportation Institute (TTI) for a review of the performance of several school divisions in Virginia. TTI was responsible for a performance review of the student transportation program for Spotsylvania County. Researchers examined the transportation program and focused evaluation on factors affecting student transportation, bus replacement and vehicle maintenance programs, driver recruitment and training, driver and passenger safety, service evaluation, and purchasing procedures.
