Improving Pedestrian Safety at Unsignalized Roadway Crossings
Project Description
This project developed recommendations for the MUTCD traffic signal warrants and evaluated treatments for high-volume and high-speed roadways. The team was prepared to build on its previous experiences in investigating traffic signal warrant and pedestrian crossing issues. To address these objectives, the research team developed recommendations on selecting unsignalized pedestrian crossing design(s) based on empirical evaluation.
