Abstract:
In order to develop travel time savings estimates for the years 2000 and 2010, this study examined average daily traffic per lane (ADT/lane) on the freeway mainlanes adjacent to high-occupancy vehicle (HOV) facilities in the Houston urban area and its impact on HOV lane travel time savings. This technical memorandum documents the specific procedures utilized in the analysis.
