Abstract:
Texas Department of Transportation desires to adopt a new multiple-mailbox mount design that provides improved ease of instllation and maintenance. Shur-Tite has developed a design that is considered to provide the desired ease of installation and maintenance. Two full-scale crash tests were conducted to eveluate the safety performance if the Shur-Tite multiple-mailbox support in accorandance with NCHRP Report 350. The Shur-Tite Multiple-Mailbox design successfully passed all requiremnts of NCHRP Report 350 and is ready for field.
