Abstract:

Flex-route and feeder bus services are solutions that more public transit providers may find advantageous to explore as they try to serve increasingly spread-out and suburban populations while maintaining costeffective operations. This study examined the experiences of The T, VIA, DART, and other selected transit agencies in Texas who have operated flex-route bus services, examining their objectives for operating the service, experiences, and lessons learned.
