Abstract:
Incidents are a major source of congestion and driver delay and frustration in urban areas. Prompt and effective response to incidents is critical to limiting the impacts of incidents on traffic performance. The goal of this project was to identify techniques and develop functional specifications that agencies could use to improve their incident response.
