Abstract:
This video discusses Texas Department of Transportation Item 247, which deals with flexible base and its installation. The video presents a brief overview of the issues of compacting at water contents significantly different from optimum, acceptance test timing, and method of acceptance testing. It also presents potential specification revisions to address these items of concern.
