Abstract:

To follow.This school traffic workshop covers dealing with Texas-sized problems around schools. The workshop was modified to use data relevant to the attending city. This project, a continuation of the successful Precious Cargo project, developed guidance on reduced speed school zones, focusing on off-site traffic control. Modules include:
  • Common traffic concerns and problems that are typical around school sites.
  • Site-based guidance.
  • Zone-based guidance and review of other state practices.
  • Discussion of local issues.
