Abstract:
In this project a one-third scale accelerated pavement device, the Model Mobile Load Simulator (MMLS3), was evaluated to establish whether it could simulate rutting performance of a full-scale pavement under full-scale truck trafficking, provided differences in loading and environmental conditions are considered. The comparative study, supplemented with laboratory tests, was successful.
