- Access ITS America
- This is the web site for ITS America. Some sections are available to the public, while other sections are available only to ITS America members and require a user name and password.
- Alexander Communications Group - ITS
- At this site, ITS professionals may take advantage of twice-monthly news updates from the industry newsletters, Inside ITS and The Intelligent Highway, a glossary of terms containing over 500 ITS listings, a comprehensive listing of ITS events, and links to key organizations.
- California PATH (Partners for Advanced Transit and
Highways)
- Information on Intelligent Transportation Systems research.
- Center for Intelligent Transportation Systems (CITranS) at Penn
State
- CITranS is a multidisciplinary research effort located at
Penn State's Pennsylvania Transportation Institute.
- FHWA's ITS Research Centers of Excellence Program
- This program is comprised of three universities: The
University of Michigan, Texas A&M University, and
Virginia Tech.
- Intelligent Transportation Systems Institute at the University of Minnesota
- The scope of the Intelligent Transportation Systems Institute, part of the Center for Transportation Studies at the University of Minnesota, is to enhance the safety and mobility of road- and transit-based transportation through a focus on human-centered technology. The Institute’s theme relates to two of the key national transportation issues identified in the Transportation Science and Technology Strategy: safety and mobility. By using the human-centered approach, new developments in core ITS technologies of computing, sensing, communications, and control systems are used to approach significant safety and mobility problems with a fresh perspective.
- Intelligent Transportation Systems Research Program at the University of Washington
- Part of the University's College of Engineering, this site
contains a list of currently funded ITS projects in the
program, information about the TrafNet software, and a
diagram with an overview of ITS architecture.
- ITS International
- ITS International, an independent publication within the ITS industry, reports on the deployment of advanced technology and how it performs in real working environments in an effort to share with readers the innovative solutions that have proved successful worldwide.
- U.S. Department of Transportation Itelligent Transportation Systems
- The national ITS program, which aims to use advanced technology to improve the efficiency and safety of our Nation's surface transportation system, addresses both information- and infrastructure-based approaches to achieving its goals. The program also has an intermodal nature—incorporating highways, transit, and rail—thus requiring unprecedented cooperation among diverse groups of public and private stakeholders. ITS also has significance beyond transportation, due to its potential to stimulate and revitalize the United States technology base.
