Texas Commission on Environmental Quality
In 1993, the Texas Water Commission and the Texas Air Control Board were consolidated to form the Texas Natural Resource Conservation Commission (TNRCC). On September 1, 2002, the TNRCC formally changed its name and began doing business as the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ). The name change was meant to give people a better sense of the agency's purpose. TCEQ is the state's lead environmental agency.

State Transportation Agency Partnerships

Virginia Transportation Research Council (VTRC)
VTRC is a partnership of the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) and the University of Virginia (U.Va.) since 1948. It is headquartered in Charlottesville, Virginia, adjacent to the U.Va. grounds for the mutual benefit of VDOT and the university.
