Public Transit

Millions of people rely on dependable public transit (bus and rail lines) to get to work and back home again. Transit systems move America. They efficiently carry commuters and take a significant amount of stress off our roadways. More than 7,500 transit vehicles are on the road in Texas alone.

Researchers at the Texas Transportation Institute are studying how to make this essential system even more efficient and environmentally friendly.
